I have just been made aware of a strange issue where a non-partner at a practice is requesting pathology and we are returning it to the practice with all details correct.  But in a few instances the requester seems to change upon reciept at the practice.  In every case the requester is changed to the patient's registered GP.   This is, to my knowledge only happening to one dr at one Vision Practice.

Has anyone else had this or similar issues and if so, is there any solution?

Thanks

Peter

Peter,

Whenever we have encountered this problem a mapping error at the GP-end is usually the cause. Some practices assign unmapped GP data to a particular GP whereas other trap such unmapped data. Check the log on ICE PMEP and note the GP name (expansion) and codes included in the message and ask the the practice to check that their mapping is complete.
