N Tees Hospital have an EDIS A&E system recently implemented. The A&E staff are anxious that if they use ICE to request Path/ Rad that they don't have to also enter it into their EDIS system (ie they are after an interface - anyone else interested / already pursing silimar lines ?)

The Whittington Trust is currently in discussion with Isoft regarding an interface between EDIS and Anglia.   Dave - could you send me your details so I could give you a call.   I would be interested in discussing this further  Cathy.Parker@whittington.nhs.uk

We have enabled a link using interoip between the Ascribe Symphony system and ICE. This certainly saves on the double entry scenario as all request info is passed back to Symphony from ICE.

This shows it is possible.

I am interested to see where this goes with EDIS

Isoft are currently working on developing an interop interface with us. I imagine it won't be too long before this interface exists. They are looking to develop this a step further than Symphony to have a marker on their front screens to state when the result is made available.
Sunquest are currently looking for demand for thsi interface so if this is something you think you require please contact your Sunquest account manager.

Has anyone implemented an EDIS interface with ICE yet? If so, I would be really interested to discuss this further.

Sorry for the delayed reply. At N Tees it was decided that they could manage without; however they may still be interested if an I/F was available or I/F development costs were to be shared. Will check
