Is anyone using the 'Set up accession number ranges' facility?

I'm wanting to set up accession number ranges by location group, but the only options I can find are all locations or each location individually. We were told it is possible in the Sep08 release, but can't find any info on how to do it, and Anglia are not being very forthcoming.

Helen has forwarded the information, but basically it just says that the 'site' option is not useful to us, so how do I set up accession number ranges by location group rather than by individual location or all locations?
