I'd like to hear from anyone who has managed to use ICe for blood bank ordering without the blood fating module?

Thanks

Regards

Louise

I have - we are not currently using it in secondary care but GP's can use it to request Blood Groups etc.
I see no difficulty with it being used for cross match/blood product requests. we actually have a separate system for blood tracking anyway so the ICE fating mechanism never came into play.
Hope that helps
