How have folks set up their test rules for examionations? I have used a range of rules that are incorporated into a modality panels then applied them to the test config in ICE.

Works really well except that the datafeeder doesn't want to send the rule type is a question. If it is Data entry, it works fine, drops data into comments field, no problem.

Bear in mind, I am not a Radiographer so some tolerance of my level of understanding may be required.

For example, if a chest X-ray, our Rad team want:

1. LMP (if female of defined age range)

2. Site

3. Mobility

4. MRSA status

5. C difficile statur

6. Other infections

I have steps 1 2 and 3 working fine. Steps 4and 5 I have set up as rule type question asking is the patient **** positive answer Yes or No. These don't come across. Rule 6 I have set as a question asking "other infections" rule type question, answers Yes or no, if answer No, no further action, if answer yes, invokes a second free text box so they can elaborate. THis second rule I have set up as rule type data entry and the info comes across into comments field but because the preceeding bit is missing, it makes no sense.

I have this with a developer at Sunquest presently but would welcome comments as to how others have set this up or did you experience the same thing?

thanks

Dave

Dave

If you can contact me directly by either email or phone, I will go through many of the standard requesting rules we have within Radiology.

At Peterborough we have many examination and modality based rules that have worked very successfully, and meet 99% of the radiologist's requirements. So I could help you, 're-inventing the wheel.'

If you need my contact details go through your representative or via the office at Sunquest - they should be able to give you my details.
