Hi All,

Am getting increasing numbers of PCT specialist services using System One and wanting to be able to link to our ICE systems in the same way that GP Practices do.

However....seems there is a problem with the 'identifier' of such systems. Am assuming that ICE and TPP use the National practice code as the identifier. However for a PCT specialist service install of System One the identifier recently sent through to me is a 12 numeral reference number. Anglia advise that this cannot be recognised (max field length they can recognise is 10).

Anyone else come across this problem ? Is there some other identifier that I should point my PCT IT staff towards ? Are TPP willing to adjust the identifier numbers down from 12 to 10 figures ?

Any help or words of wisdom gratefully received.

Regards

Hi Dave,

have you made any progress on this yet? we are expecting most of our community services to move to TPP over the next year and I have been wondering how they will be identified and how they will be grouped into 'practices' on TPP. If I get any more information I'll pass it on.

Hi everyone

Still no news from Sunquest on this one. getting very frustrated as more and more new systems are being set-up by the PCTs with the 12 digit numbers. Needs some urgent address or we will need to find alternative means of linking to them.

Regards

Dave

Just to advise that Sunquest have now provided a fix for links to Community based SystemOne deployments. Sorted out Diabetes the other week and plan to now move ahead with others

i had this and the only way i could get it sorted was to be at site and ring sunquest up. they were then able to see on the data base from the patient i was going into ICE what the location national code was.

Hi Jamie

you can get the TPP System One identifier yourself either directly or over the phone through a practice manager with system admin rights.

Get them to go into system set-up screens and then amend organisation.

There will be 'official' names assigned to their system and also a 12 digit number. Once youve got that you can complete your form that you send off to Sunquest requesting an 'activation' using that 12 digit number instead of the NACS code you would ususally put in for your GP practice
All the best

Dave
