Since moving to encryption for GP practices, there seems to be a steady stream of requests from practices asking us to sort out automatic acceptance of the encryption certificates on their PCs and similarly an allowance of 'mixed content'.

There are also practices who are reporting that although they can access the encrypted system via their EMIS systems, once in the ICE system if they then try and navigate to report or request lists from the requesting screen using the 'services' button that the certificate prompt still comes up. Anyone else having these problems or has developed a strategy for dealing with them that has worked ok.

I had the same problem when we upgraded to ice desktop version Sep 8.3 the way to resolve it is you need to ask all your GP sites who access ice by introp to do the following on each of there pc’s that they access ice from.

·         Go to Internet explorer

·         Tools

·         Internet options

·         Security

·         Internet

·         Custom level

·         Display mixed content

·         Set to enable

Remember you need to get them to do this to each of the pc’s that access ice in the practice.
